Bangladesh Advancing Development & Growth through Energy (BADGE)

What we delivered: Supported reforms and market mechanisms to expand renewables and attract private investment; advanced corporate PPA and net-metering frameworks.
Proof points: Brokered a 40 MW Bangladesh–India–Nepal power-trade agreement and leveraged ~USD 396.5M in new clean-energy investments.

Corporate Electricity Procurement from Renewables in Bangladesh

What we delivered: Market and policy report outlining corporate renewable electricity sourcing fundamentals, global trends, and practical procurement pathways for C&I consumers in Bangladesh, covering feasible models and the enabling conditions required to scale adoption.
Proof points: Produced a clear set of recommendations to unlock corporate RE procurement, particularly Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPA), including priority barriers to address and actions to strengthen the regulatory and market environment for uptake. This initiative has resulted the formulation and realization of the Policy for Enhancement of Private Participation in the Renewable Energy-based Power Generation, 2025

Reinforcing Advanced Energy Systems (RAES)

Period: 2023–2025
What we delivered: USAID–NREL technical collaboration to advance smart grids, variable renewable energy (VRE) integration, and grid cybersecurity in Bangladesh. Supported onshore and offshore wind resource assessment work, designed an EV integration pilot for Economic Zones, strengthened cybersecurity protocols for the transmission utility, and facilitated structured knowledge exchange with NREL and local universities.
Proof points: Produced areas where onshore wind projects can be viable and supported GoB in implementing few first wind projects, supported actionable technical outputs (offshore wind assessment inputs, EV pilot design concept, cybersecurity protocol upgrades) and enabled institutional partnerships that accelerated learning and adoption of smart-grid and renewable integration practices.

Renewable Energy for Rural Economic Development Program II (REREDP II)

Client / Budget: World Bank / GPOBA / BCCRF / JICA / USAID (USD 288.4M)
Period: 2014–2021
What we delivered: Managed national DRE financing portfolio, including appraisal, structuring, due diligence, monitoring, standards/guidelines and institutional strengthening.
Proof points: Disbursed USD 23.6M in loans and USD 36.9M in grants; reached 3.5M households / 7.78M people (by June 2021).
